Skipping and variations of skipping is a great full body exercise offering extensive physical and mental health benefits. Improved cardiovascular fitness, better coordination, stronger bones and increased flexibility. The effectiveness of skipping is super underrated especially for those of us over the age of let’s say 30. Excluding a meal thinking it’s gonna help you drop half a pound, When is the last time you skipped? For most of us it’s been since our elementary school days. Including a safe & simple skipping routine into your warm up and or cooldown will improve your health across the board. Example: 20 meters each or about 10 skips each of- Normal skips, skips for height, skips for distance and skips for speed. Take 30-60 seconds rest and do 4 rounds for an excellent primer for a workout or even a great active recovery routine between sets of exercises.
