Henry is an accomplished athlete who played professional baseball for 10 years with the Detroit Tigers and the Colorado Rockies. An elbow injury caused him to spend three years in rehabilitation and therapy. This experience, which ultimately ended his baseball career, inspired Henry to turn his talents to the fitness industry to help others realize their athletic potential while avoiding injury.
After a successful stint with Crunch Fitness in Miami where he led the company in sales, Henry moved to New York and was named Sales Director for New York Health and Racquet Club. In 2006 he left the management side of the industry to pursue his true passion of delivering fitness to people in a personal setting.
Henry holds a degree in Exercise Physiology and is also NASM certified. In 2008 started his own Personal Training Business here in Atlanta, HQ Wellness and Performance LLC. Specializing in Metabolic and Functional Movement Testing and Personal Training. Henry specializes in functional and athletic training for all ages. Functional training has its origins in rehabilitation. Physical and Occupational therapists often use this approach to retrain patients with movement disorders. His clients range from young people beginning a sport to those training for a college-level or professional team, and the general population who want to look and feel great. Henry and his son Grant Alejandro lives in Atlanta. They both enjoy running, cycling and sports of all kinds.
